Stearyl Alcohol

Stearyl alcohol is a naturally occurring fatty alcohol in some plants and is an excellent emollient. It is a waxy material that hydrates the skin and hair leaving a silky smooth sensation. It also helps protect skin and hair against irritation and dryness.

Stearyl alcohol is not an alcohol like denatured or isopropyl alcohol that dries the skin. The addition of stearyl alcohol is considered alcohol-free.
