Tepezcohuite (mimosa tenuiflora) is a tree that grows in Mexico and parts of South America. The tree grows abundantly in the states of Mexican States of Chiapas and Oaxaca. The ancient Mayan tribes of Mexico used the bark of the Tepezcohuite tree for more than 10 centuries as a medicine for skin diseases. It was used to treat wounds and burns.
