Cetyl Alcohol

Cetyl alcohol is a natural fatty alcohol obtained from vegetable oils. It is a waxy solid used to create creamy textures. Cetyl alcohol acts as a moisturizer, conditions skin or hair and gives it a nice soft and smooth feel.

Cetyl alcohol is not an alcohol like denatured or isopropyl alcohol that dries the skin. The addition of cetyl alcohol is considered alcohol-free.
