Behentrimonium Methosulfate

Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS) is a conditioning agent derived from rapeseed oil. Used in shampoo and conditioners, BTMS hydrates and conditions hair down to the roots, leaving it silky and smooth. It penetrates the hair shafts, making it healthier and easier to style. BTMS does not cause build-up like some silicones. It is considered a non-toxic alternative to many of the other conditioners found in many commercial products. It should not be confused with behentrimonium chloride.
